“My research focuses on meeting challenges within Higher Education through applying Student as Producer, as a conceptual framework. Research contributions evaluate Student engagement and Student as Partners, critically addressing how teaching and learning has been reshaped via curriculum design and the value of the student voice. My research profile and outputs have developed my interest from student expectations, challenging the consumerism of HE, employability and the role of student engagement . I have contributed to wider debates on challenging the increased marketisation of HE and addressing the changing relationships between students and academics, embracing core values of collaboration, partnerships, Student as Partners and Student as Researchers. In sum, my interest addresses how Student as Producer ethos has arguably changed the culture of teaching and learning practically, conceptually and pedagogically.”
